Los Angeles, CA | Grammy® Award-nominated recording artist Jonathan Butler releases the new single “I Know He Cares” from his gospel CD, Grace and Mercy. The Rendezvous Music recording artist is known for hits such as the classic “Falling In Love With Jesus” and the debut single from Grace and Mercy, “I Stand On Your Word”.
“When I wrote ‘I Know He Cares,’ I was going through a lot of changes, setbacks and loss,” explained Butler. “I sat down at the piano, started to play and ‘He Cares’ came flooding from my heart. I realized that God was speaking to me directly. God gives His word to hope in and to hold on to.”
Butler will perform “I Know He Cares” at the Praise Philly 103.9 Inspiration and Music Conference on Friday, March 22nd in Philadelphia during the Coco Brother Live Showcase. Along with Butler, other stellar artists are set to perform during the conference including Tamela Mann, Percy Bady, Brian Courtney Wilson, Bishop Paul S. Morton and many more.
Grace and Mercy features 11 original songs with music and lyrics penned by Butler.
About Jonathan Butler
Born and raised in Cape Town during Apartheid, Jonathan Butler started singing and playing acoustic guitar as a child. Racial segregation and poverty during Apartheid has been the subject of many of his records. His first single was the first by a black artist played by white radio stations in racially segregated South Africa and earned a Sarie Award, South Africa’s equivalent to the Grammy Awards. Butler is known for achieving chart-topping success, Grammy® nominations and other accolades for his recordings. His self-titled debut album put him on the map internationally and garnered two Grammy® nominations, which include the R&B-pop vocal statement “Lies” and the poignant instrumental, “Going Home”.
