In this seventh installment of the New York Times–bestselling series, Kitty encounters what may be her most formidable foe yet: her creator! Kitty soon learns that feline manipulation works both ways—especially when you’re at the wrong end of your author’s pencil. Schuylkill Valley Model Railroad Club – Annual Model Railroad Open House (since 1975); – Celebrating our 45th Anniversary of the Club’s formation.

Our Model Railroad Open House is “fun for kids of all ages”. SEE & HEAR freight & passenger trains pulled by steam or diesel engines over 700’ of track. Four different railroads are depicted on the 1,000+ square foot HO scale (1/87) model. Hundreds of buildings, vehicles, people and trees create realistic scenes. Numerous buttons allow visitors to bring scenes to life! See Thomas the Tank Engine & try your observation skills with our Scavenger Hunt.

We are excited to invite you out to City Year Greater Philadelphia’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service to completely transform Overbrook High School in West Philadelphia!

This year 12 corps members serve at Overbrook High School as both tutors and mentors to ensure that their students remain in school and on track to succeed. On Monday, January 20, 2014, between 8:15 AM – 2:00 PM, volunteers will serve to support this team’s efforts by beautifying the entire school with mural paintings, mosaics, light construction and more!

FREE admission all day, guided museum tours hourly, themed craft projects, and continuous viewings of Dr. King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech. Special workshop on becoming an “Upstander” from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm for all ages. All activities and museum admission are free of charge. However, the Upstander workshop has limited seating and requires pre-registration.
