Station Information

The genesis for the radio station located in Norristown, PA dates back to 1976 with Basil Callamore, gospel enthusiast and businessman. It was Callamore who developed the “Highway” format and began purchasing “block time” on Sundays at WTMR radio station in Camden,New Jersey.

He had a vision of Philadelphia with an all-gospel radio station that played gospel music all day long, everyday of the week. By 1984, Callamore and is investors began moving in that direction and the station has not stopped growing in size or popularity.
